Terms of Use

1. What Belzo is

Belzo is an appearance-tracking app. It analyzes photos you submit, estimates how much of your visual potential you are realizing today, suggests a routine of habits, and records your progress over time.

2. What Belzo is not

This part matters, and it is not boilerplate:

• Belzo is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it does not replace a dermatologist, a dietitian, an endocrinologist or any other health professional.
• A Belzo reading is an estimate generated from an image. It is subject to error and should be read as a suggestion — never as a clinical finding.
• Belzo does not promise a specific cosmetic outcome. Bodies and faces respond differently in every person, and nothing in the app should be understood as a guarantee of how you will look.
• Belzo passes no judgment on anyone's worth. The number it shows compares you to your own potential, and to nothing else.

If you have a health condition, or if concern about your appearance is affecting your wellbeing, see a professional. An app is not the right place for that.

3. Who can use it

Adults 18 and over only. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the photos you submit are of yourself.

4. Your account

• You are responsible for access to your account and for the content you submit.
• Submit only photos of yourself. Uploading another person's image without their consent violates these terms and the law.
• Do not attempt to circumvent, copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the app, or use it to build a competing service.

5. Subscription, billing and cancellation

• Belzo is sold by subscription, billed by Apple through your App Store account. We neither process nor store your card.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Cancellation is done in your iPhone Settings, under Subscriptions — we cannot cancel it for you. That is how the App Store works.
• Refunds are processed by Apple, under Apple's policy. We can point you to the right path, but the decision is Apple's.
• If we change the price, you are notified beforehand and the change applies only to the next cycle.

6. Ownership

The app, the Belzo brand, the design and the reading mechanism are ours. Your photos and your data are yours — the license you grant us exists only so we can operate the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Termination

You can delete your account whenever you want, right in the app. We may close an account that violates these terms, in particular where someone else's image is submitted without consent, or where the account belongs to a minor.

8. Limitation of liability

Belzo is provided as is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event. Nothing here removes the rights guaranteed to you by the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, or by any consumer protection law that applies to you and cannot be waived.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. Disputes are subject to the courts of the consumer's place of residence.
